About Me

I am Mufti Shah Rafi Uddin Hamdani, a Karachi-based Islamic scholar, researcher, author, editor, educator, trainer, entrepreneur and digital strategist. I serve as Secretary General and Director of Research at the Seerat Research Foundation and the Encyclopedia of Muhammad ﷺ, where I lead scholarly planning, supervise multilingual publications and work as the chief architect of MuhammadEncyclopedia.com, a dedicated digital search engine for authentic, referenced knowledge about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

My academic formation combines traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary business and research training. I completed Dars-e-Nizami and Takhassus fil Fiqh, earned a BBA in Marketing from IBA Karachi and an M.Phil. in Business Administration from Greenwich University, and pursued MBA coursework at Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul. I have also completed research-focused courses from Stanford University, the University of London and Harvard University.

I have authored more than 250 research articles, edited over 300 articles in English and Urdu, and supervised or coordinated scholarly publications across several international languages. My research interests include Seerah, Islamic theology, Khatm-e-Nabuwat, comparative religion, atheism, Quranic studies, and the application of digital technology to Islamic scholarship.

I founded the Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat and IslamicThoughts.net to make rigorous Islamic knowledge accessible to global audiences. I am also the co-founder of AboutMe.pk, an AI-powered knowledge graph platform that enables individuals and organizations to introduce themselves in their own way and become more accurately discoverable by search engines and generative AI systems.

I have also designed and conducted research-methodology workshops for scholars, university students and faculty, including specialized training in Islamic Studies research. Through my academic writing, institutional leadership, entrepreneurial work and digital initiatives, I seek to preserve authentic scholarship, answer contemporary intellectual challenges and build reliable research resources for future generations across the Muslim world.
